Class and workshop information
Lee Brummer - morning class, Saturday at 09:30-10:45
A guided improvisation class where we will warm up the entire body and work on the movement and separation of the different body parts to find efficient and pleasurable movement while exploring different sensations, dynamics, speed and more.
A physical session with the opportunity to connect to the space around us and to one another through research and different movement tasks. The class is suitable for dancers of mixed levels
Israel Aloni - group 2, Sunday at 13:30-15:00
Israel Aloni will introduce some ideas and themes from the movement research and development practice called The I.Aloni Experience which they have been developing over the past two decades. In the session, Israel will introduce a moment sequence from a new work that they are developing currently titled Schism and work with the participants on ways in which they can evolve their awareness of movement in the body and in the space in which the body is situated”
Linn Lindström - group 1, Saturday at 11:00-12:15; whole group, Sunday at 9:45-11:00
Linn Lindström grew up in Piteå and was educated at Balettakademien in Stockholm 2017-2020. Her first encounter with ilDance was during the summer 2019, when she was a part of the junior company ilYoung. Since her graduation, Linn has been freelancing in different projects both in Sweden and Germany. During this year, she will be working with the choreographers Sebastian Matthias in Urban Creatures, Helena Franzén in Från och med nu and Liv Aira in Bidum Iedno. She puts great value in not viewing her artistry and life as something separate from each other. There is a constant exchange and when creating she therefore lets everyday life in. Task based improvisation, playfulness and clear inner imagery are all starting points for thoughts to translate into movement.
In this workshop we will work with our presence and listen to what is happening in the room. We will also explore how musicality and the use of figurative language such as parables and metaphors can be expressed in our bodies.
Siri Elmqvist - group 1, Saturday at 11:00-12:15 / group 2, Sunday at 13:30-15:00
Born in the north of Sweden, Siri started her dance training at the dance gymnasium in Piteå, followed by 3 years at Balettakademien Gothenburg and later the ‘Maslool’- professional dance program in Tel Aviv.
During her years as a freelancer she has worked with ilDance (SE), AURA Dance Theatre (LT) and Siciliano Contemporary Ballet (DE), plus the choreographers Julia Maria Koch (DE), Sagi Amir Gross (IL), Eric Gauthier (CA) and Marie Zechiel (DE) to mention a few.
Currently, she is working with different dance projects and teaching ballet at the professional artist school "Die Etage" in Berlin.
With joy and freedom of movement as a base, the workshop will explore how we can physically embody different emotional worlds. Using various choreographic themes such as AI, contrasts and playfulness Siri invites you to research the range of possibilities in each of our own bodies.
