March opportunities for young artists

Once again, we round up a number of opportunities for young and emerging artists to check out, including an open call, international exchange and educational and work experiences.

On top of all that, you can still register to join our own Intensive Weekend, taking place in Malmö on 8-10 April.

Biennale College Dance
Application deadline: 21 March

The second edition of Biennale College Dance under the direction of Wayne McGregor, is seeking the “visionaries of tomorrow”. Two new calls are open for the selection respectively of 16 dancers between the ages of 18 and 30, and 2 choreographers ages 18 and over, from all around the world.

Gothenburg Fringe - Open call for artists in Västra Götaland & bursary for young artists
Application deadline 31 March

Gothenburg Fringe has opened a special open call for its 2022 festival as part of the application, shows with artists aged 17-30 can be considered for an opportunity to take their show to Bergen Fringe, who have kindly held a spot at their festival for us!

Gothenburg Fringe has joined forces with KulturUngdom to provide 10,000 SEK of funding to send one show to Bergen Fringe from 31 August to 4 September, before heading to Gothenburg to perform at its Fringe on 7-11 September.

COMPASS Intensive Weekend in Skåne
Registration deadline 31 March


The next COMPASS Intensive Weekend will take place in Skåne on 8-10 April 2022.

The Intensive Weekend offers young and emerging artists dance classes, workshops, viewing of a live performance and an opportunity to jam among other activities.

Nordic-Baltic Mentorship Pilot

Are you a young person active within the cultural sector?

Here’s your chance to get a mentor from another Nordic or Baltic country!.

The pilot programme for mentorship within the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture has been established to support sharing of knowledge, learning and exchange of experiences in the region and ilDance's Israel Aloni is one of the mentors.
