COMPASS dance café with Julia Svensson

You are welcome to a network meeting for young and emerging artists in Västra Götaland, taking place on 7 October (17:00-19:00 hrs) at Frilagret, Heurlins Plats 1 in Gothenburg.

Julia Svensson will lead this Autumn’s first COMPASS dance café with a screening of the Dance film ‘Collide In Concert’, a new collaborative dance work and concert.

After the film screening, there will be an artist talk with Julia Svensson about the piece and what it is like to work as a professional dancer in Sweden and Denmark. There will also be coffee and a presentation of the Compass initiative and how people can get involved.

"Dance Collide In Concert"

In the performance "Dance Collide In Concert", you will see contemporary dance with live music through mysterious soundscapes, nightmares and love. Experience the journey of five musicians and two dancers through their voices, instruments and movement.

Frilagret

COMPASS dance café is arranged in collaboration with Frilagret, which is a culture house produced by young people aged 13-30. The space is accessible and has a ramp, wide doors, large toilet and a hearing aid. The event is completely alcohol and drug-free.
